I've only seen them dried and silver as well...this is really pretty and I like how you filled the frame and kept this somewhat dark. Makes it stand out.
@taffy Thank you Taffy. @julie Thank you Julie. They are pretty in that state, too. @Dawn Thanks Dawn. @pyrrhula Thank you. The name you call it makes sense. Coins. @granagringa Thank you. They seemed to have a purple cast to them when I photographed them, but that wasn't as evident in my photos. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. @grammyn Thank you Katy. You know I'm sure I've had them before and pulled them up as weeds before they ever bloomed. @lynnz Thank you Lynn. I had planned to get them in the morning, but actually think I liked this view better. @jamibann Honesty. A nice name for the plants. Thank you @kjarn Thank you Kathy. I take it's not one seen in Australia. @serendypyty Thanks Cazzi. I have a stalk of seeds that I've had for a number of years but can't remember where I got them. Glad I can get fresh ones. Thank you. @pusspup The seed pods turn a silvery white and translucent when they die back. @wakelys Thank you Susan. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret. Funny how plants have different names in different places. I guess the scientific names are all the same. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. Yes they are a several season favorite. @annette1963 I'll try to remember to take a photo when they get that way.
Like others, I’ve never seen a growing plant, just dried and used for decoration. Interesting! Makes a beautiful picture with the little purple blossoms for contrast.
@thewatersphotos They seem to like this house. I'll keep them as long as they grow. @annette1963 Thank you. @fbailey I like it too and I also like it dried. @mcsiegle Thanks so much Mary.
