June 2021 words - summer/winter
My husband always called these "railroad" lilies. He used to walk along the railroad tracks where he went in the mountains and they were abundant. The daylilies are seen everywhere along the sides of the roads this time of year (summer).
@mzzhope Thank you Hope. Yes it's sad they die after one day. Perhaps that's why they are so prolific so we can see them for awhile. @jamibann Thank you Issi. @haskar Thank you Hannah. @ziggy77 Thanks Jo. @wakelys Thank you Susan. These are in my yard, but they've been there since before I bought the house. I guess you could say they are wild since I haven't done anything but tell the lawn mowers not to mow them down. @grammyn Thank you Katy. I'm afraid the shallow DoF is a favorite of mine. I really should try something different once in a while. @craftymeg Thanks so much Margaret. @evgeniamsk Thank you Evgenia.
@thewatersphotos Probably the same as what you have there. They are seen all along the roadsides. I've planted them in the past, but most that I've seen are wild. Thank you for you comments and fav.
