Great grungy photo. I agree with others. These work the best. Wish you could put one in your purse and take with you. Ah, well—you can sharpen up a bunch of pencils and take them along.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond It is, I think, but it's difficult to hold the sharpener down, hold the pencil and turn the handle. At this point, it's mostly a "decoration" since I tend to use mechanical pencils. Thanks Jackie. I used a "cheap" snap on macro lens. @wakelys Yes indeed. One way to legally get out of one's seat. @haskar Thank you Hannah. @Dawn Thank you Dawn. @olivetreeann Last time I used it I had some difficulty (holding the pencil, holder the sharpener and turning the handle) and ate up a pencil. It it was solidly attached to a surface, it probably does work well. Thanks Ann. @grammyn Thank you Katy. Except the leads so fragile, I like mechanical pencils and have since I was a teen and my dad gave me one. @pyrrhula I'm showing my age I guess. Thanks Ferry. @marshwader Yes, that's what it is. My husband was a collector of junk (junque sounds fancier right?) @corinnec Thank you Corinne @amyk Thanks Amy. @shutterbug49 Appreciate your feedback Debbie. It was what I was going for in the end (but not in the beginning). @kjarn They are pretty old school (no pun intended, or may it was intended). @casablanca Thanks @pusspup Yes. I'm probably showing my age. @brillomick Oh my goodness. It seems many may not have used these regularly in school. I guess it's official. I'm old. @tunia Thanks Tunia. The pencils are newer than the sharpener but not that new. Just never used. @mcsiegle Thank you Mary. I probably like those little ones best for this sort of pencil. I ate up quite a few points on pencils that didn't fit the sharpener just right. Mechanical pencils are may favorites. But probably hard to draw with. But then, I don't draw.
@beverley365 Thank you Beverly. Some of my husband's "junk". @rensala Still hanging around this house, but not really used or useful for that matter. Thank you Renee. @granagringa Thanks Madeleine.
