Awesome women. Bravo to them. A wonderful capture of women in the boat. Their rowing is looking pretty good and synchronised. I love these long boats; the ones the folk use here have a big dragon head on the bow, and some have a sort of small dragon-ish tail.
That is a lot of people to get to row all together! Fantastic photo of them that I feel could be in a sports action challenge somewhere. Were you on the water also? It looks like a very low POV.
@wakelys Thank you Sue. @cocokinetic I had never seen their boats before and was expecting a dragon head like you described. Apparently this is a common boat style for these groups. I was glad to have been able to get some clear shots. It was windy and the pier I was on was floating - therefore rocking with the wind and wake caused by some other watercraft. Thank you Karen. @grammyn Thank you Katy. That's why they practice twice a week - to synchronize their strokes to get the most speed since they race. I was on a fishing pier that was on the water. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. There's a race at this lake in October. I have it on my calendar. @photographycrazy Thank you Bill. @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie. I took a bunch of photos and was fascinated to see them when they had their arms up like this. I was noticing the muscles in some of those gals' arms! @craftymeg Thanks so much Meg. @Dawn Thank you Dawn. @fbailey It is a fascinating activity to watch. @haskar I think it is good, physically and mentally, for the women who participate with this group. Thank you Hannah. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. @onewing Thanks so much Babs. @olivetreeann Yes it is. These women are tough! @shutterbug49 They work hard at working together. Thanks Debbie. @kjarn I think so too Kathy.
