Attended a program at the public library this afternoon. The man is an educator and performer and he compared Scottish, Irish and American "old timey" music - mostly fiddle pieces. He was very interesting and kept the audience tapping our toes the entire time.

@corinnec Thank you Corinne. The "real" background had a painting that looked like a big black spot and was very distracting so I put the photo through photoshop and blurred out the background then touched it up just a bit. @joemuli Thanks Joe. @jeanniec57 Thank you Jeannie. I masked the man and made a separate layer. Then I blurred the photo and touched up some of the darker colors. With the layer of the man on top of this, it turned out like this. The magic of photoshop. @grammyn Thanks Katy. It was very interesting as he played the differences between the styles of Scotland, Ireland and the US. Nuances that made all the difference. But I was glad there wasn't a test at the end. @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. I thought it was cool how he closed his eyes while he played. @kjarn Thanks Kathy. I thought he was very good and am glad you enjoyed reading about and hearing him. @will_wooderson Yes indeed. Apparently he learned from the time he was a small child. Thanks Will. @olivetreeann Thank you Ann. The original background was quite distracting. @haskar Thanks so much Hannah. @craftymeg Thank you Meg.
@joemuli Thanks Joe.
