Just a tad larger than the yellow tugboat in my other pic from today, The Queen Mary has been berthed in the Long Beach harbor since the late 1960s. It's a floating hotel with a colorful history , sadly in need of a fresh coat of paint. It has a special place in our family history because my mother worked aboard the ship in the promotions department for number of years after it came to Southern California.
