Crescent Croissant by rensala

Crescent Croissant

I always thought the croissant was a French invention, however according to Wiki it’s an Austrian viennoiserie pastry inspired by the shape of the Austrian kipferl but using the French yeast-leavened laminated dough. They are named of course are for their historical crescent shape.
Amazing what we can find out on the wiki! I also assumed French.... however a lovely shot and presentation .fav
