Out of the mist [SOOC] by rhoing

Out of the mist [SOOC]

At the lake about 6. On the water a bit after that. The fog was uneven, but I really like how this image turned out. Just cropped short-and-wide for a more “panoramic” effect and name added. No playing with colors or hues or contrasts or saturations. Who has time for that?

Just right-of-center is my friend, Cursillo brother and rowing buddy, Roland, in his Vespoli Matrix 27. Row 3K, then a water break and chat. Row 4K, then a water break and chat. Another 4K and a water break and chat. Then 3K back to the dock and load the boats. A great combination of being on the water, time with a good friend and getting some exercise.

When I got home, Clare had fresh blueberry-scones ready! She made them one-handed, of course. I washed some fresh blueberries and raspberries and we had a nice breakfast together.

Three more days of employment and Clare retires! With a full arm cast, of course, but what can you do?

This is interesting! One year ago (“Sculling at dawn”): http://365project.org/rhoing/365/2012-07-28

I didn't realize Clare had problems with her arm. Hope all is well, and retiring? She is going to have so many opportunities now.

@digitalrn She broke the scaphoid bone (at the "waist" of the bone) on her dominant hand 5 weeks ago tomorrow. One more week in the long cast — thumb-to-bicep — and she trades it in for a cast only up to the forearm. She gets that for 4–6 weeks and then they'll evaluate.

We moved to town 30 years ago tomorrow. It was 100°F that weekend…

@lubybee Thanks so much for sharing that! It's an amazing "environment" in which to exercise sometimes!
