“I pose a conundrum to ya — a riddle if you will.”

So why does some of the chopped ginger float … and some of it sink? Does its specific gravity match that of the liquid? Not my area, so I have no idea what explains this! See also, buoyancy.

@digitalrn No, but I asked Clare’s brother, who is a chemical engineer by training. He said, “Interesting - my guess is all of it will sink eventually.” It’s been 13 days since the photo was taken and there is still a separation. But he did say “eventually” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
