At least these things don't look quite as bad from the back side, where you can't see the head. :-) Actually, these with the black heads don't look as bad as those with the red heads.
Sounds familiar to me. Seems like every time I try to take wildlife shots, the subject turns his rear end towards me.. My husband teases me about it.. Not funny. But this is a great shot...... Might just be his best side.
Har har har!!! That's an impressive wingspan this guy's showin' off. Interesting that his primary flights are so distinctly different. Gotta say, he makes me think of "Wolverine" from the X-Men series.
