Was trying to get a shot of the red shouldered hawks and their nest. I think this was the male, as the female, or other hawk was on the nest. Haven't been able to see any little heads bobbing, but the mother hawk sure is doing a lot in and around the nest, so think there may be some little ones in there.
What an expression you caught!!! There must be something about you that assures the hawks it's safe to stay put; most fly off when humans get too close. Love those eyes.
