The Mighty Mississippi River at Vicksburg!

Just happened to stop at a rest stop that looked out over the Mississippi River. Thought it was a cool shot of the bridges. The left is the actual interstate highway, and the other is a train trestle.

Oh my! This lovely shot brings back so many memories. We were in Vicksburg on our RV caravan trip down the Mississippi River Road several years ago. Talked to an elderly gentleman who was born and raised there for an hour or so.... He was writing a book on the history of the area and told us a lot about it. Very interesting.
