Egret on the Nest!

This was the only nest that I saw that actually had an Egret sitting on it. Those nest sure seem quite flimsy, but guess it doesn't take much to hold those skinny things up. Not sure how they get those long legs folded up under them.

Really good spotting -you're right, that is quite a disorganized looking nest - looks rather hastily put together. Quite different from other birds. -

Great shot - they must be like quite a few other species who just have a flat bed of twigs.

It looks rather precariously balanced. I hope the eggs, and then the chicks, will be safe.
