Monarch Butterfly Getting Ready for the Long Journey!
Got this one a couple of weeks ago on the trip to the Gulf Coast. Think this was one of the gathering points before the final journey to their long trip on further south. There were hundreds of them flying around at this location and all along the beach. Occasionally, one would land for a short time and you could get a shot or two.
Lucky you to see the migration. Once when Jim and I were backpacking in the Cascade mountains we were blessed with being in their migratory path. Not someth8ng I’m go8ng to forget anytime soon
