Had just got back to my car, and heard something over in the bushes, and just figured it was one of the squirrels. Looked over and saw it's head, so got the camera ready and moved around to get a shot. As I did, it flew up on this limb, right in front of me. About 10 feet away. Was getting plenty of shots, until the noisy people came wandering down the trail and scared it off. Guess they just don't understand that we're not always just shooting leaves and trees.
That's a beauty - and such good light and background colors. Think they're one of the most interesting birds to capture. Glad you got your shots before the people got close.
