The Egrets are still building a lot of nest in a small section of woods that I can get access to. There is a lot of twig collection going on. This is about as large of a twig that Iv'e seen these guy's haul in. Sort of funny watching them trying to pull pieces of limb off of the trees. Probably best on black if you have the time.
Wonderful capture, Rick. Love the vibrant blue of the sky; it made a super backdrop for the white of this hard-working egret. How they fly into trees with such long features (legs, neck, wings, beak) is beyond me. But then they go and add a stick as an extra challenge... impressive.
