Found mom first but couldn't find the baby's, but kept on looking and a couple of trees over, there sat the baby's, as you'll see on the next couple of shots. Just never could get her to open her eyes, so guess she must have had a really rough night with the little ones.
The clinched foot caught my eye too. Hope she's feeling okay. I was bummed to read the other that the Great Horned Owl population is in decline. Hopefully the report was only for my area, and not yours. While I don't like the threat they are to the wild rabbits in my yard, they are an incredibly beautiful creature. Glad your owl family there is thriving.
