The seagulls kept a watchful eye for anyone eating and if they saw someone, they would then start approaching them and stand out there in hopes of getting a crumb. And if one morsel was tossed out, then the whole flock would come out of nowhere and surround you, and making lots of noise, hoping to have more thrown out. And of course I made that mistake. :-)
