Drove by the pond and saw the egret in about chest deep water so pulled in the parking lot across the street and was going to get some shots of that, but as I was crossing the street, it was heading up in the tree. Did manage to walk around the lake and get a few shots of it, resting up there. Left and drove back by there about 30 minutes later and it was still there.
