This one must have been really hungry, as it was dancing around quite a bit, trying to corral up a collection of minnows. Just never could get a good shot of the pokes.
These are such pretty birds. However, this neighborhood is not fond of them. Those who have koi ponds don't like them coming over the our nearby Safari Park and getting dinner from their ponds. (Most have now put wire over the too\p so the birds can't reach the fish.)
@caitnessa@milaniet@jgpittenger@ludwigsdiana@aglennc Thanks Heather, Milanie, Jane, Diana and Anita. Yeah, I'm sure that some folks around here, if they do have any kind of pond, would definitely have to cover them up. Between the Egrets and Blue Herons, they will clean one out.
