Just needed to have a different lens on, so I could have gotten the whole manatee in the picture. Did back off some, but it's hard to get something that large in the picture. :-)

Guess we are somewhat lucky. We do see these big ole creatures around here quite a bit. They're not always this close, but you can see them out int the water. They have to come up every minute or so to get a breath, so you know they're out there when you see that snout. Just wish the river water was a little clearer.
