Was trying to find the Barred Owl's this afternoon, without much luck, but then I heard a couple of hoots. Headed in that direction and started hearing a lot of commotion from several crows. Knew something was up, so started searching, and sure enough, there she sat. Didn't set long in the first spot, but headed off to another. Thought I had lost them, but kept hearing the crows, so headed towards them again, and once again, there sat mom. She was keeping a really close eye on them as they kept swooping down on her, but she held out and the crows finally left. I at least got one of the crows in the shot, even though it wasn't too clear. Just couldn't find the baby's.
