I've been struggling to know what to do with this shot I took it last week end at Easton walled gardens. At the time I thought it had lots of potential but which ever way I process it I don't feel it does it justice.
I sense your frustration. LOVE the shot, just seems like it needs a little something. I wonder if you lie on the ground and change the point of view??? It's great with that damn tease of being awesome.
The path and the trees blend into each other making it difficult for the eye to follow naturally. It may be this is better as a colour shot which shows the differences. You get a sense of a building off to the right. It may be taking this shot at a different time of day will elevate it. An interesting problem.
. . . . I think I prefer this version. I like the contrast between highlight and shadows and there appears to be more definition and detail on the trees and branches. It also has that kind of fantasy, dark mysterious feel to it which I'm looking at the moment. A lot of my images seem to be b&w. Must be a phase I'm going through 😊
