Up the wrong tree!!

This poor fellow was just out looking for a feed (bird's eggs preferably) when the mickey birds started harrassing him - which attracted our dog - which sent the goanna up the nearest tree - a palm tree! Not his usual or preferred spot!

Oh dear- that creature would keep me up nights for fear it'd crawl over me! It's big!! Good catch though!

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - I hate to fuel your fears but there have been people badly injured by goannas. It usually happens if they panic and try to climb up you to get away from something. Not very common though!! They are often quite tame eg in National Parks where people feed them! :)
