Pobblebonks

This little video never actually shows a Pobblebonk!! But boy - they sure were there - we could hear them from quite a distance. They will actually call to you if you call to them - great frogs!
Lovely video. I have never heard of these frogs and they have a strange name.I could hear hear their calls.

Me too Rob, we have them in the water/pond/lake in my post today. Also have a couple of other duck species too. One of our golfing friends is a very knowledgeable twitcher and very interesting to spend the four hours or so with.

@olivetreeann Hi Ann - it is actually quite an historic (for an aussie) bridge - associated with the war. It's at the end of a nice walk out from the town. Cheers Rob

Marnie@golftragic suggested I view this video on the pobblebonk. Funny thing, I walk to this bridge regularly and hear the frogs ( when it rains, which it has, yippee!!) And isn't it such a fabulous bridge, especially when the steam train runs from Warwick to Wallangarra :)

@hermann Hi Sally - do you actually live in Stanthorpe? We have been up here for about 5 years - just love it. We're out at Amiens on a small property that has vegetation that looks an awful lot like one of your recent posts Thanks for the follow - I have returned it. It will be fun to see each others posts. Cheers Rob Z

@hermann Hi Sally - It sounds like a nice idea to meet up. Would a coffee date in town, some time next week, suit you at all?
