Hi Jacqueline and Jane and Shutterbug - This was for the 52 week challenge ( Jacqueline - I know you are doing it too) - Category -Inspiration, Topic - Anonymous. The challenge said "Use this inspiration as creatively as you can. There are no rules...." so this was originally not my image but one from online (Jane - that's why it's so nice and crisp!) that I processed to try to fit the theme. I wondered afterwards if I should acknowledge somehow that it wasn't my original- either in the intro or the tags? I would appreciate your thoughts if you have time. P.S. Shutterbug - it was definitely the cutest Motherboard!! Cheers Rob @jacqbb@jgpittenger@shutterbug49
@fbailey Thanks FB - like you Motherboards were a foreign entity to me - until I had a teenage son who was, and still is, an IT nerd! And I thought of this because of the spooky, intrusive way in which our computer can suddenly start giving us ads for a product which we have only spoken about - not even searched for!! :)
One of the places I worked were too "cheap" to buy new computers, so they bought parts and as the resident tech support guy I had to build them so I've seen a few too many of these things! Nice image though :-)
@robz Not the hardware, but you can install software (or Apps as they call it nowadays :-) that can "read" what you type on the keyboard, use the webcam to have a look around or use the mic to listen. Fortunately it is not a big problem for most people.
@helstor Thanks for the info Helge - it probably explains why we get ads for products that we have only talked about. It's all a bit invasive. Regards Rob
