The 52 week Dogwood challenge 2019 is quite a lot harder than the 2018 version! This week's theme was a "composition theme involving the use of strong leading lines in food photography". The "Folly Cocktail" shown here is a highly nutritious food source comprised of equal volumes of Lemonade fruit juice, Cointreau and Black Rum - delicious!! And P.S. the lemonade fruit is home grown!!
Thank you for reminder of this week's dogwood theme, I'd just written leading line!! Might have to wait until home as rearranging food in a restaurant much frowned on by Him!!! Oh this is brilliantly donebtw!!
Love the composition. I used to drink Cointreau and lemonade in my younger days.
When we lived in Cyprus the orange liquor there was called Filfar. I asked for an orange juice in a café in one of the villages and was given a schooner glass of Filfar and orange, it nearly blew my head off. It went down rather well but boy did I have a headache the next day.
@onewing Love your story Babs - you might just like this concoction. It's an original recipe produced by my husband Errol - I can highly recommend it. :)
@koalagardens We inherited the lemonade tree when we bought the funny little farm at Stanthorpe - we'd never heard of a lemonade tree - it's a fabulous fruit. Just perfect for this combination. If you like rum I think you might like this. Cheers Rob
@jgpittenger Hi Jane - I think what my editing program calls a "negative" may be labelled "invert" in other programs. Black becomes white, blue becomes red etc. I love playing with it because the dark shadows become white and objects can seem to float. :)
@robz mine was a housewarming gift - I've never been a fan of drinking lemonade, so they just never really appealed to me, but the birds feed well from them. I do happen to be a fan of rum, so I'm going to investigate .... :)
