The vineyard has many interesting grape varieties - both red and white. Barbera, Durif, Graciano, Malbec, Mouvedre, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Verdelho, Vermentino and Viognier. At the moment the main focus is on just keeping them alive.
It's sad to think about these beautiful, loved plants struggling because of the lack of rain. The dark skies create a concerning mood, possible similar to the owner's feelings.
@shutterbug49 Hi Shutterbug - sorry to have been so long in responding to your question. Most of the grapes in our area area irrigated - and mainly by drip feeding as it uses less water. There are a couple of vineyards which only use natural rain as water - their grapes and wines are quite different - still lovely though. :)
