But his bird is not a toy - it is actually a hand made feather and texture structure which we are going to trial as an enticement (into a trap) for the Bengal cat roaming our property.
@taffy Hi again Taffy - I'm not very confident - it walked all around that cage, and the chickeninside, but didn't look like going in. And apparently cats don't take baits very well. ( I know baits are an extreme measure but I'm afraid we'd use them if we thought it would get rid of this thing) The fake bird is a suggestion which works on the true nature of Bengal cats - predation. We'll keep our fingers crossed and let you know if we catch it. :)
@fr1da Thanks Frida - we've known he owned it for a while but we've only just started putting out cameras. This explains why our bird numbers have dropped so much. I really want to catch it! :)
@craftymeg Sigh - that's what I'm afraid of. If we can get more date stamped photos of it on our property I might be able to go to the council. You have to have a licence to own one and I think allowing it to roam contradicts the conditions of the licence. Cheers Rob
