Vintage textures

This is one of 2 vases which came from my Dad's house. When photographing this one for the flashofred theme I found a small strip of paper in one of them. It had "From Mother" written on it in a very old fashioned hand writing. I think the vase might have been from my Great Aunt's home which would make it originally from my Great Grandmother. I like it a bit more now!

This is a great subject for black and white! I like the focus and the darker lighting. The texture of the design is also really pretty. What a great find to discover that note!
