Rob - this shot would have worked awesome as the foreground shot of my get pushed challenge to you. Step back just a bit to put some water in the foreground and the pilings are now in the middle ground with those lovely layers of hills still adding interest in the shot.
Step back even more and put them to the back of your shot and you have them in the background, losing the layer of hills, of course! They would still be the main focus of your shot, then.
Give it a try, if you still can. You can do this after the challenge is over since you are now host and will not be able to be a finalist anyway!
@farmreporter Hi Wendy - thanks for your feedback - I wish I'd thought of trying it while we were there. We go occasionally so I'll have a go next time and see how it works.I didn't mind the one I tried with the silo in it - it was along the same lines and gave me an idea of what you were aiming for. It is an interesting concept and something good to keep in mind for a lot of situations. Thanks again for the challenge and for your suggestion here. Cheers Rob

Love the layers in the background.
