@nzkites Hi John - thanks for your comment and question. This started out as a photo of a drinking fountain's metal mesh cover. It had a complete circle made up of concentric rings of holes in metal. The original photo had them shown side on so they were slightly different sizes and shapes. After that is was a whole series of trial and error moves with the Exposure and Saturation settings in my old editing program. In the Exposure setting the dark tones were increased, the midtones were decreased, the highlights were increased - then, because it was much too bright in the background the Saturation setting was used to reduce the highlights. LOL - or something along these lines - it was basically just a play within those two settings! Good fun and lots of possible outcomes - good and bad!! Thanks for your interest. Cheers Rob
@etienne Hi Etienne - it had never occurred to me to try to go back again. I had a go with this and you are absolutely correct - it doesn't end up at all like the original. I think what must have happened is that I used these steps on an image that i had already produced using a cut out programmed filter. I'll post it in one of my extra folders and I think it will all make sense then. I must apologize to John for forgetting that! Old age is a terrible thing! Cheers Rob @nzkites
