Sometimes you have to go fishing in your backyard for a photo, after a busy day. I liked the color, the contrasts, the veins in the leaf and the tiny threads that a spider spun, anchoring the top point of the leaf to the grass. It looks like it has been there for a while. Maybe we need to cut the grass?

Wow this is lovely and being as red as it is I don't think it's been off the tree very long. Don't you just love when the shot just appears before you.....
Sometimes it seems so hard to find a great pic around your house, but this is wonderful. I like your POV and is that a spider web in the background too? What's Fall without spider webs. They seem to be everywhere!
Ah the original. See now, I usually lean toward the journalistic approach with processing and so my eye does not usually favor heavy processing but in this case my eye actually prefers the artistic version. That's pretty interesting to me to discover that. This of course is an outstanding image, don't get that wrong! Such vibrant colors...I really do like where you took it though so I'm glad you posted the other variant.
