Ready For The Tree

Christmas lights, laying on the wooden floor, just before we started putting them on the tree. They worked! Always a surprise. Better on black.

I love the warm, cozy glow of this image, the reflections on the wood floor, the bare feet in the background. I completely get your elation (and surprise) that the lights worked. It's a mystery to me how a set that worked last year won't this year.
