This is the State Capitol Building, Jefferson City, Missouri. I am here for business, buried in a hotel basement (no windows, no internet) for the rest of the week, but I did manage to enjoy the last few rays of sunset.
The birds are flying over the Missouri River. If you were reclining on the river bank in June of 1804, you would have watched the expedition paddle by, as they fought their way to the Pacific Coast.
Thanks for taking time to visit and comment. I appreciate each one.
PS. I am just learning that my hotel has irregular internet (this is kind), so please forgive my absence.

Oh, sad to hear you are there for work -- and in a basement no less! This is a good view (can you put it on your screen saver or desktop and pretend you're looking at it through a window?
Isn't it great to have a camera as company? Who needs TV just as long as we have a car to drive around in to take gorgeous pictures! Very well composed shot Rosie, and I like the reflection in the water from the clouds...
A gorgeous view and those clouds reflecting in the water are wonderful..complete with birds overhead. Lovely scene. Enjoy what you can and have time for. FAV for me
It's kind of crazy how we're all so addicted to internet, isn't it? We had to go five days in the desert without internet or phone (except when we were at this one place, we could get tiny bits of phone service for a few minutes). The birds are mysterious -- they appear to be in the water!
Gorgeous shot!!!
