Part of a stone railing, as the sun is going down. Offered for the b&w challenge, "Flash of Red." Also offered for the plug-in challenge, using Alien Skin's "Exposure" to selectively blur the areas above and below the curves (in focus), to draw the eye to those symmetrical curved lines and shadows. Whew!

@whimsicalgrateful Hi! The original photo had a pretty shallow depth of field (on the exif information, you can see the aperture setting was at 4), so there was some foreground and background blur anyway. In the editing process (testing out a plug-in for Lightroom) I added the blur with a filter. I also shaped the blur in kind of a diagonal egg shape to keep the main curved lines of the balustrades in focus - that was the focal point of the shot. Hope that helps! :)
