Once each year, I have the pleasure of participating in "Adoption Saturday," where children who have been in foster care (for abuse or neglect) are adopted into their "forever" families. Here is a cutie who is celebrating his adoption with balloons. :) The happiest day in Family Court every year, that is for sure.
10/1/2020: Finished year 7 (!), with continuing gratitude towards this amazing community. Based in St. Louis, MO. Regular worker-bee and self-taught photography dilettante....
What a happy moment! My sister and I both have grandsons who were adopted. At her grandsons's adoption, the judge said to his new parents, "Thank you for rescuing this precious boy." That's what I think about this little guy in your photo too! @laurielizard@mbemis
