So... the dog ate 2 bars of chocolate this evening (good dog). Returning from the vet, where she had unmentionables done to her at an overpriced rate (and now she is anxiously over-caffeinated), I chanced into this holiday explosion of good cheer. Even the garage is fully decked out. Amazing... not the most original of shots, but a tribute to a noteworthy amount of holiday zeal. It really needs a pano, but I didn't want to look like a stalker or a burglar. Even though it is not my house, I like the irony of including it in the "theme-decor" challenge. ;)
Thanks for your kind comments on my orchid of yesterday. It was fun to have some time to practice focus-stacking in a quiet way. Thanks, too, for taking time to visit.

You nailed it! Focus stacking has made every spot so clear! And the house stands out from the darker surround. Beautifully done, and also so glad to read your dog is going to be okay! Two bars??? Dog has good taste.
beyond this rather amazing photo, I laughed at your tag! If I could bowwow just half of this, we'd BOTH be overdone this holiday season! A spectacular find!
Umm . . . how long did it take for this family to put those decorations up, and how long will it take to take them down? Do they have a garage set aside for the mountains of boxes to store them? What's their light bill? Oh, sorry -- my response should be about the photo but I was immediately distracted by the technical details such a show must require. I do like your capture for the theme, as it truly speaks of the ZEAL.
I think you can be forgiven for a protracted photo shoot here. If the owners have gone to so much effort to decorate they'll be more than happy to receive the photographic compliment, I suspect. You may consider it not the 'most original of shots' but I think it fully justifies your attention, Rosie.
I'm glad they didn't curb their enthusiasm--it's beautiful. Their electric bill must be pretty hefty, so the more people that can admire it (like us around the world because of you) the better!
I would think the owners of this wonderful display would appreciate photos being taken! Its really tremendous! That naughty dog - good thing you actually caught her eating that chocolate! These things always seem to happen after usual vet hours too!
Well captured. And the lighting is very tastefully done. Hope your dog will survive the candy. I had a dog that ate half a package of chocolate covered cherries one night. I didn't know to be worried. She was fine.
OMG, I wonder how much time, money and electricity that lot costs?? That said, it does look fantastic and very in the seasonal spirit. Love it Rosie. Fav
Silly me, forgot to check on the dog. Two bars of chocolate!! She's lucky to have good owners who noticed the consumption before too much damage was done.
@golftragic Actually, my kids spotted it first (very alert). She was really lucky... being a small bichon friese, that much chocolate could have been fatal. Lucky it was only a few hours in the gut. Thanks for asking.
Wow, looks like a blanket of lights fell on this house, but actually it must have taken days to create this! They get an A for effort for sure! Glad to hear your dog is okay - scary for little dogs.
Depending on the dog, they can tolerate a good amount of chocolate! My dog can eat next to pure chocolate, lots of it, and be just fine. Glad to hear your dog is doing well and that your kids caught it! Love these lights. All I see is "tons of work to decorate" but I love it when someone else does it for me to admire!
I have all the same questions as Junko! My gosh, zeal is almost an understatement!
