Standing Alone

A lighting experiment with a piece from my chess set. Hmmm..... will have to try this again later, I think.

I really like the lighting. Might I suggest a bit of a tighter crop? The "blur" of light in the foreground is distracting to my eye.

Very @northy in style -- which is a high compliment! I love the lighting and the isolated image. What if you were to crop up from the bottom to just above the oval-ish glare spot? Making it a square pretty much...You could do it in picmonkey without losing comments.

oh yes! love the kind of lighting you've got going here... and the lone chess piece... i like @taffy 's suggestion for a crop... if i were going to re-shoot, i'd likely aim for a wider landscape aspect ratio :)
