Are You My Friend? by rosiekerr

Are You My Friend?

One of the birds, fresh from dining at my bird feeder, perched still while my doggie took a close sniff. You can see her nose, kind of hidden behind the white of the porch railing. (I was kind of slow on the trigger.) I was amazed that this bird stayed still, even while my pup took a sniff. Maybe it was the bitter cold?

Anyway, thanks for taking time to visit... much appreciated.
Ha, I can't believe your dog got this close!

Oh, this is good!! The way the porch railing hides all but pup's nose. They are SO close -- impressive all the way around.

Lovely shot. I can't believe that the bird stayed put while the dog was so close.

Fantabulous shot, with such vivid colour and textures. It's amazing those two stayed calm and close to each other...Fav!

Amazing the bird stayed where it was when that nose was so close! Finlay would not have been quiet he would have made a charge for the bird! He does not like birds and especially cats visiting his garden! Beautiful capture Rosie! Fav!

I can't believe the bird was not fazed by your dog. A lovely high key shot.

Unfortunately, this little bird may be ill but it's still a lovely capture - Fav

@rosiekind I hope not... he did fly away directly, so hopefully he was just cold and thought my very tame Bichon was pretty harmless.

Nose and tail are very close! Friends in nature, I suppose. :)

Brilliant shot Rosie, the little hints of your dog's presence are wonderful. Sparrows are cheeky little beggars, but this takes the cake. Magic shot. Fav.

I like the POV on this one a lot! Very unusual for a bird shot, but so pretty.
