15 Years by rosiekerr

15 Years

I can't believe that fifteen years have passed, since the awful events that are our generation's "Pearl Harbor," (at least, for those of us who live in the US).

Kind volunteers put thousands of flags up on Art Hill, Forest Park, to commemorate the many fallen soldiers - each on with a picture and a dog tag on the flag. Very moving.

Also, for better or worse, our flags cast a long shadow across the world.

Thanks, as always, for taking time to stop by.
Wow.. this is outstanding!! I remember that day so well... can't believe it's been 15 years already!!

Great image, the shadow drawing leading lines and the flags' stripes make quite an hypnotic effect. All of us think to "that" 9/11 every year since...

@princessm You are so right about that... I very much appreciate the comment. That is why I worry about the "long shadows" of our flag. ;)
