While in New York, a trip to the 9/11 Memorial is required. I had not been there before. Lovely and sobering. The names of the many victims are etched into the surrounding black, as you can see in the foreground, including the first responders who perished.
The weather has been pretty terrible this weekend, but the sun shone for the one hour we were there. You can see raindrops on the dark marble edges of the memorial. The bird flying overhead was a happy accident.
10/1/2020: Finished year 7 (!), with continuing gratitude towards this amazing community. Based in St. Louis, MO. Regular worker-bee and self-taught photography dilettante....
@yaorenliu It was cheerfully contemplative, if you are curious. :) Lots of tourists, who were respectful and curious. Of course, lots of photographers, too.
Well taken ! We were there last year very poignant ! They place a white flower when ever the person has a birthday . Recommend the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum on the Hudson if you have time
