The Washington DC skyline at night. "Trifecta," because you can see (left to right) the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building, all lined up from this point of view (across the Potomac River, from Arlington).
We were out last night, to shoot this view with the super moon in it. Sadly, my shutter locked up and I was unable to take photo of the moon as it was rising. Incredibly frustrating. After some mucking about today, we were able to solve the problem, at least for the time being (whew!).
Thanks so much for taking time to visit. Much appreciated.

Oh gosh -- this is such an amazing scene. All our forefathers surrounding our government center, and light bursts along the base. There's a metaphor there somewhere, but .... Glad your camera is cooperating again and hope the problem is permanently solved (or definitely you have a new one in your future!).
@rosiekerr I know that @ukandie1 has a few fuji cameras (and one with interchangeable lenses) and that @jyokota has one. Both of them have highly recommend it, and both purchased within the past year. You could ask them what they think if you do go with getting a backup.
Wonderful capture of so many famous ones. @Taffy and I were scheduled to go to DC last January, had tickets, hotels, and then the huge blizzard came. We'll get back to DC some other time and your photos are inspiring us.
