The St. Louis Zoo has an acrylic tunnel that runs through the seal area. You can see through it and watch the seals flow past you, under water, like smooth missiles.
This young man is gazing through the acrylic, but his face is reflected back to me. I felt as though he were seeing himself, on both sides of the surface.

Fabulous! My favorite photo spot was always the hippo enclosure because sometimes they'd swim right up to the glass and look at kids. I loved that zoo.
