Free range by rosiekind

Free range

The lambs in the field near where I work were charging round like mad things and this one landed up at the back of the field with the hens. You can't get more free range than that. It's time for fillers today as it is pouring with rain so I'm not likely to get out for a walk. However, I've bought a couple of photography mags which I'm going to study as one of them has a review on the Nikon D7100 which looks very tempting. I pre-ordered my P510 last year but this time I'm going to wait a few months to see whether the price comes down as they always charge the highest rate when they launch. If I like the feel of it, I'm going to treat myself as I realise that I'm just addicted to this hobby - that's all down to 365. If I hadn't started on this site, I would probably still be just taking the odd holiday shot and family occasions. 365 has changed my life and I would say for the better as it now gets me out walking so I must be fitter! I can now recognise the sound of birdsong and generally enjoy my life to the full. There - I didn't need a dog as an excuse after all and the neighbours have got used to me walking past with a camera in my hand. I even chat to strangers who seem interested to know what sort of camera I've got and just say hello as I pass by.

Have a great St Patrick's Day for all my irish friends!
Love his little black ears and eyes and nose. Too cute.

Lovely spring image. I like hens pecking about, they are peaceful creatures.

How cute! And from this angle he does not look much bigger then a chicken himself. Hee hee. I know what you mean about weird looks when out with the camera. I used to get weird looks when we first moved to this area. I run and walk with my dogs, every day, regardless of weather. People would stop and say "You sure walk a lot!" I told them I like chocolate and there is a price to be paid...

What a cute little face, and he's not much bigger than the chickens!
Dogs are likely more expensive than several cameras, so if it was just the walking you wanted, you probably made the right choice! :)
