I was amazed today to see a flowering cherry tree in blossom as I think it must be earlier than ever. I must have a look through my albums to see when I've posted a shot of it before (last year it was 8 February). It really makes you think that spring is round the corner although it doesn't feel like it - bitterly cold today and will be for the rest of the week if the weather forecasters are to be believed.
I have been to work this morning for 3 hours as I promised the daughter of a client who has dementia that I would visit to complete an Attendance Allowance Form as she really needs more help now. Her daughter works but has Monday's off so as I have things arranged for the following few Mondays, I decided to go and do it today. I shall take Wednesday off to make up for it as I have to go to Arlesey tonight for a meeting with the volunteers I have recruited to set up a Good Neighbour Group. Hopefully, it will be the last evening meeting for them as I really hate going out in the evenings to work and freezing fog is predicted for tonight. I would much rather be snuggled up in front of the fire.
