For me and the blackbird! I've found it difficult to know which photos to post today as I took some photos while the sun was shining this morning. Sadly, I've been to yet another friend's funeral and she was only 58 and died of cancer. My daughter sent me a text to let me know that she had died and that her funeral was today as we no longer get any local papers in the village. The crematorium was packed and it was standing room only. Liz was very well loved by her family and friends and half of Bedfordshire Police which is where I met her 35 years ago. I used to work behind the Bar at HQ while I was studying for my exams to get into nursing and Liz was a secretary. At first I didn't think I would be able to be friends with her as half the time I couldn't understand what was a broad Glaswegian accent. Gradually, as the year went by her accent lessened and she often had to interpret for me some of the Scottish expressions she used but she was always fun. My ex husband and I used to meet them most weeks for a curry and we also played badminton together. The Assistant Chief Constable gave a lovely tribute to her and the service was very nice.
When I got back, I had an hour to kill before work so I sat outside the front door and took some shots of the birds coming for their breakfast. I also took a load of shots of the spring flowers growing in my garden which I will post in another album
In the meantime, thank you for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
