This was taken on Saturday but it's been pouring with rain all morning here and it's just so cold! I was pleased to see this little whitethroat who thought he was hiding from me but I spotted him and took a quick pic.
I am gutted that I've got to take my camera back to the shop because the exposure meter has packed up. I knew that the auto focus in the body didn't work from the start but I was prepared to put up with that because all my lenses have auto focus built in but I was so disappointed when it packed up in France as I didn't take a spare body with me. Anyway, the good news is that John Lewis are going to give me a full refund so I think my next camera will have to be a Canon as it's the second Nikon I've had of this model and Padlock has said that I can buy a converter so that I can still use my Nikon lenses. My 400mm lens is so good that I wouldn't want to part with it and it cost a bomb! Now I'm going to have to research Canon cameras as I want a good one that I won't have to take back. It's a good job John Lewis give a 2 year guarantee as I bought it in January 2014.
Thanks for your kind comments, reading my waffle and all your Favs - it is really much appreciated.
Beautiful close up capture of the cute bird. I'm sorry about the problems with your camera but am glad you worked things out. Best of luck in picking a new one. I have a Canon and love it. Mine is an older one, though.
A very sweet shot of this little whitethroat - at first I thought this might be a willow tit as I saw a shot of one in the newspaper, had never even heard of it before. Hope you find the camera you want - so upsetting when they go wrong.
Sounds like quite a hassle with the cameras - I hope your new one is more reliable!
