I was really pleased with this shot as it was shot on ALL manual settings including manual focus which I don't often use. I've just given it a bit of a crop otherwise it's SOOC. I usually use manual settings for aperture, shutter and ISO but usually leave my camera on autofocus. It's about time I got a bit more adventurous and used manual focus more. I used it on this one because the autofocus didn't really know where I wanted to focus because of the tree branches.
Lovely capture Rosie!! Yes I always put my camera on manual focus if there is grass or branches in front of the bird/animal - it makes it so much easier to get your focus.
Good eye! I have trouble with manual focus because I wear glasses...but I don't wear them when looking thru the viewfinder! I worry that imy shots would then be out of focus!
