This was taken this afternoon at Holkham. Holkham is a wonderful place to walk and we go there all year round. The geese can always be seen circling across the marshes at the back of the beach and if you walk through the woods, you can get onto the beach and have a lovely walk whatever the weather or time of year. There was a rainbow at one point but I had put my camera back in it's bag because I didn't want to get it wet in the rain that fell. The wind was blowing pretty hard too and it was pretty cold but very refreshing.
In the woods at one end is a beach hut belonging to the Queen but we haven't walked as far as that for ages.
It was evident that there had been quite a lot of damage to the beach at Holkham as the fence had been blown down and sand dunes had been destroyed. Sadly, we saw lots of rabbits in the sand who had obviously drowned when the tidal surge came.
